Stop Guessing your Metabolism

Book in one 20 minute test to Discover your exact Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) – how many calories your body burns at rest. Stop guessing your calorie targets.
No more plans that dont work for you and your body

What is RMR - Resting Metabolic Rate?

Your resting metabolic rate (RMR) is the number of calories your body burns at complete rest – just to keep your heart beating, lungs breathing, body heated and cells functioning.

It accounts for 60-75% of your total daily calorie burn. Yet most people are following calorie targets based on online calculators that use population averages – not your actual metabolism.

RMR testing measures your exact metabolic rate using medical-grade technology. No more guessing. No more generic plans. Just precise data tailored to YOUR body.

You can't fix what you can't measure.

You're not failing. The plan was wrong from the start.

You’ve tried everything…..Keto. Paleo. Intermittent fasting. Calorie counting. Macro tracking. You downloaded the apps. You weighed your food. You hit your steps. You showed up to the gym. But the scale won’t budge. Or worse – they are showing an increase while you’re eating 1,400 calories and working out 5 days a week.

So you think: “What’s wrong with me?”
Here’s the truth: Nothing is wrong with you.

The problem is the data. That calorie calculator you’re using – it’s guessing. Two people can have the exact same stats – and their metabolisms can differ by 300-500 calories per day. That’s the difference between losing weight and gaining it while “dieting.”

You can't fix what you can't measure.

Generic Calculators vs. Metabolic Testing

Metabolic testing measures your actual metabolism - not a statistical guess

Frequently Asked Questions

How accurate is testing?

Our medical grade metabolic testing is the gold standard for metabolic testing. Online calculators can be 10% to 20% inaccurate and are based on population averages. To ensure accuracy please ensure you arrive having fasted for at least 5 hours without having had any stimulants such as caffeine or nicotine. Also refrain from any exercise the day of the test - as all of these will artifically inflate your test result.

What happens during the test?

You lie down for approx 10 minutes before the test starts to get relaxed. During this time we will ask you some questions around your lifestyle and what a week would typically look like for you to build your calorie expenditure picture.

Once you are ready we will then start to measure your breath, ignoring the first 5 minutes of data to allow you time to get even more settled.

For the rest of the test all you do is breath normally, stay awake and relax as much as you can.

After the test is completed we will review your numbers.

Who benefits?

Anyone who wants to lose weight, tone their body or accurately know their daily calorie expenditure.

Athletes who want to fuel effectively to support their training and racing.

Whats the science?

Every calorie you burn uses a specific amount of oxygen. Therefore we can accurately measure calorie burn by measuring the concentration of your breathing in and out, allowing for the environment which our sensor adjusts for. Measuring carbon dioxide (CO2) lets us calculate the Respiratory Quotient (RQ), which indicates whether your body is burning more fat or carbohydrates. An RQ near 0.7 means fat is the main fuel, while an RQ near 1.0 means carbohydrates are mainly being used.

How often should I retest?

Once a year is normally ample unless you undergo any signigicant body recomposition or weight changes.
